【Service-Learning Courses】

  • Course Regulations: Service-Learning courses are offered by faculty members on a rotating basis. The specific content and required service hours are determined by the instructor of the current semester.
  • Reporting: Students must submit the “Department of Chemistry Service-Learning Course Report” to the instructor by the designated deadline at the end of the semester.
  • Forms: Please contact the Departmental Assistant to obtain the Service-Learning Report form.

【Course Registration】

  • Manual Course Add/Drop: Please refer to the attached flow chart for the detailed process of Manual Course Addition (Over-enrollment).
  • Credit Limits (Undergraduate):
    • Minimum: 0 credits per semester.
    • Maximum: 24 credits per semester.
    • Overload Exception: Students with a GPA of 3.7 (Grade A) or higher in the previous semester may take up to 28 credits.

【Admissions & Enrollment】

  • Admission Deferral (Freshmen):
    1. Application: Apply via the “Online Registration System” before the university’s designated deadline.
    2. Eligibility Restrictions: Transfer students, students admitted through independent recruitment, waitlisted graduate students (replacement), and graduate students admitted through recommendation/screening are not eligible for deferral, except for reasons of military service, pregnancy, childbirth, or childcare for children under age 3. These students should apply for a Leave of Absence if they need to delay enrollment.
    3. Required Documents: Students who did not submit their original diploma or ID photocopy during check-in must mail them to the Division of Registry via registered mail.
  • Duration Limits:
    • Admission Deferral: Maximum 1 year.
    • Leave of Absence: Maximum 3 years.

【Minor Programs】

  • Application Process: Under the current program-based system, prior application or registration for a Minor is not required.
  • Registration: Students should select their desired Minor in the Intelligent Graduation Audit System during the graduation preliminary audit (typically in the second semester of their junior year).
  • Note: While the online system is under development, please register directly with the respective department.
  • Forms: For the Minor Subject List and Credit Waiver/Transfer Application, please contact the Departmental Assistant.
